| Hokkaido University Tokyo Office |

 In 2007, the Hokkaido University Tokyo Office moved from the New Takanawa Prince Hotel to the Sapia Tower at the Nihonbashi Exit of JR Tokyo Station, where it began operation on Wednesday March 28 of that year. The office is equipped with PCs, fax/color copier/LCD projector facilities, a video conferencing system, workspaces, small-conference facilities (for up to 12 people), large-conference facilities (for up to 24 people) and more.
The office fulfills a variety of roles, including those listed below. Please feel free to come and use the facilities. (For information on accessing the office, see "Entry procedures" below.) Reservations are required for the use of conference facilities and related equipment. For more information, see "After-hours and holiday use (special use) (Campus Access Only)" below.

- Provision of a base for the activities for Hokkaido University staff and faculty members (e.g., meetings, organization of materials, liaison/coordination, media response)
- Supply of university information (e.g., PR publications on the university and its entrance examinations, magazines introducing undergraduate/graduate schools and other organizations, DVDs introducing the university)
- Support for students’ job-hunting activities
- Alumni exchanges

Entry procedures |
 |
Guests must have an IC card enabling access to the Sapia Tower to enter the Tokyo Office. These can be obtained at the Sapia Tower general reception on the 3rd floor after the visitor registration procedures outlined below have been completed.
- Fill out a visitor registration form at the general reception on the 3rd floor.
- Show either two business cards or a photo ID (e.g., a student ID card, driver’s license or passport).
- Pick up a guest card.
- Hold the guest card to the reader at the security gate on the 3rd floor to open the gate.
- Take the elevator to the Tokyo Office on the 10th floor.
- When finished, return the guest card to the general reception after passing through the security gate on the 3rd floor.

Approx. 27 minutes from Haneda Airport to JR Tokyo Station by Tokyo Monorail and JR Yamanote Line train. Walk from JR Tokyo Station’s Yaesu North Exit ticket gate to the Nihonbashi Exit, from where the office is about two minutes on foot.

Hokkaido University staff/faculty members and students qualify for special discount rates at the Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi in the Sapia Tower.
